CODING (GAME DESIGN) CAMP:
Futurelink’s game design Camp is designed for anyone to understand and learn about simple game design process from beginning to end. In this camp, students will start the journey with game design fundamentals and work their way to understand advanced topics in coding. Using Scratch, a visual programming language platform (developed by MIT) and visual code blocks, students will learn essential coding concepts such as loops, conditionals, events and event handling, coordinates, math operators, variables, sensing controls, broadcasting, debugging and troubleshooting. In this project-based, fun field camp, students will not only learn to create, edit, animate characters to develop their own stories or games but also they will learn necessary social skills such as critical thinking, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
