Computer Fundamentals (ages 8-17)
The course is designed to introduce students with the fundamental concepts of computer hardware, software and their functionality. Students will also develop understanding of the history and operation of a personal computer, how computer works, understanding of binary language and basic applications . Students will also learn to personalize and customize Windows environment, troubleshoot computer problems, manage files and folders, enhance speed and performance of computers. This introductory course serves as a doorway and foundation for all other technology courses. COURSE HIGHLIGHTS: Learn about the History and different types of Computer, Understand Binary language and how computer works, Understand computer hardware and software and other peripheral devices and their functionalities, Perform basic computer tasks in windows environment, Learn to Create and Manage Folder & Files and customize Windows environment, Learn to manage and maintain Personal computer system using Windows tools, Identify risks and Safety and learn to mitigate the risks using systems tools and other software, Learn to use basic applications.
